About Us
TC301 (Technical Committee on the Preservation of Historic Sites of the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, ISSMGE) is an international technical committee intended to provide a forum to share information, discuss and even propose possible solutions to geotechnical issues related to the preservation of monuments and historic sites, with the following two main aims:
- to promote and diffuse the culture of conservation within the geotechnical community;
- to establish a connection with experts from different cultural areas, to highlight the role geotechnical engineering has in understanding and solving the possible pathologies of old structures and sites.
